The way you sense dawn while it’s still dark

A Glorious Restoration is Coming

KJS DC USA 2025

Maybe it is why I keep dreaming like this.

As they weaponize departments and agencies, while they remove independent oversight and stifle the press, while they inject hatred and retribution into civil society, while they intensify tensions and create unrest, while they destroy norms and weaken the vulnerable, while they ignore the environment and abandon the working class, while they buy favors and enrich themselves and alter truth—

I still have a dream.

Not despite the darkness. Because of it.

This is how change works.

Physics of Democracy

Push too far in one direction and the system rebounds. Not might rebound….Will rebound.

You don’t tax the super wealthy and don’t feed the poor? The opposite will then happen. The pendulum doesn’t stop at the extreme. It swings back.

We are the moveable middle. We are preserved that way. Change happens that way.

Imperil the system and it will bounce back equally – to maintain equilibrium. Shock democracy and it remembers what it is. Threaten the edges and they reinforce the integrity. They don’t destroy it. They redeem it.

These times are transitions. We’re in the valley between peaks. The breaking before the building.

I can relax knowing this. All things transition in a democracy. Even amidst imperialism. Especially amidst imperialism.

What I Dream Of

A fairer society.
A level playing field.
Sustainable planning.
Human-designed system change.

More efficient taxation.
More accountability.
Money out of politics.
Assurances of nonpartisan governance.

Fair taxation that funds the commons.
Universal health care as human right.
Honor in service as the baseline.
Loving our neighbor as the practice.

Doing more for others than ourselves.
Tolerance and dialogue as the default.
Room for each other to exist and thrive.

Not naïve optimism. Historical pattern.

The Renaissance Coming

Restoration is coming. That’s what happens after corruption concentrates.

The chasing of money and power will leave the system. Not by choice. By necessity. The swamp will be drained for real this time—not of civil servants doing their jobs, but of the parasites who came to feast.

The water stuck at the bottom will meet its threshold. It always does. Some key brave souls will wake up just in time, realizing what’s at stake. A plan to cut out the cancer will hatch. An early majority will form. They will gut the enemy from within using the tools democracy provides.

Clarity will rise across the land like dawn. Inevitable as sunrise.

We will revolt in positive, loving energy—the natural and only sustainable response to hateful leadership. Not violence. Vision. Not destruction. Construction.

Young and old, smart Americans will come to D.C. to rebuild the ark. The shutters will be put back on. The foundations will be reinforced. The weaknesses exposed by this crisis will be fortified.

And restoration will be glorious.

The New System

Values awakened during crisis, sharpened by necessity, woven into a better system. Not the old normal. Better.

A highly functioning democracy serving everyone. Built with early warning systems for nihilistic tendencies. Designed to catch ego-driven leaders pursuing power for power’s sake before they can do damage.

The politics of the future won’t even be called politics. It will be supplemental to everyday life. Common sense, well-executed. Transparent by design. Built on new streams of equity, inclusion, and responsibility.

White men chasing power and wealth as the center of governance? That’s over. Not because we wish it. Because demographics and consciousness make it obsolete.

I Dream of a Self-Aware America

A new America that knows itself. That has looked in the mirror during this dark period and seen what it can become when it abandons its principles. That chooses, with full knowledge, to be better.

Restrung with purpose. Rewilded back to its native state—the democratic experiment where power flows from the people, not toward the powerful.

The restoration will be glorious not because it returns us to some mythical past, but because it builds something we’ve never quite achieved: democracy that actually works for everyone.

This Is How It Goes

Corruption concentrates.
People suffer.
Clarity emerges.
Organizing begins.
The middle reasserts.
Systems reform.
Progress resumes.

We are in the suffering phase. Clarity is emerging. Organization has begun.

The restoration is already happening. We just can’t see it yet because we’re still in the breaking.

I can feel it. Can you?

The way you sense dawn while it’s still dark.

Why I Keep Dreaming

Maybe this is why I keep dreaming like this. Maybe this idea of inevitable restoration is exactly what we need right now.

I refuse to believe this is the end of the American experiment. I refuse to accept that democracy dies here, now, like this.

Besides, history tells a different story. Every concentration of power has triggered redistribution. Every period of corruption has sparked reform. Not automatically. Not without struggle. But inevitably, given enough people who refuse to accept the unacceptable.

The Restoration Will Be Glorious

Not because it will be easy.
Because it will be earned.

Not because we’ll return to innocence.
Because we’ll build with wisdom.

Not because the threats will disappear.
Because we’ll have strengthened our defenses.

The restoration will be glorious because we will have learned what democracy requires. Vigilance. Participation. Sacrifice. Courage. Solidarity.

Freedom requires maintenance. That justice demands action.

Restoration is coming.

The restoration will be glorious.

We will build accordingly.
