They Made Him King

Here’s to an inevitable and dramatic restoration of America’s political economy and democracy.

Six justices just rewrote the Constitution to place one man above the law.

Not to clarify a legal principle. Not to preserve separation of powers. To protect Donald Trump from prosecution for attempting to overthrow an election.

This is the scandal of the century. And most people don’t even know it happened.

What They Did

On July 1, 2024, the Supreme Court ruled in Trump v. United States that presidents have absolute immunity for “core constitutional powers” and presumptive immunity for all “official acts.”

Read that again. Absolute immunity for core powers. Presumptive immunity for official acts.

Translation: Justice Sonia Sotomayor wrote in her dissent that under this ruling, a president could order Navy SEAL Team 6 to assassinate a political rival and be immune. Could organize a military coup to hold onto power and be immune. Could take a bribe in exchange for a pardon and be immune.

The Court didn’t just grant Trump immunity from prosecution. They created a constitutional monarchy. They made every future president a king.

And five men did this. Five Republican-appointed justices: Roberts, Thomas, Alito, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh.

This Isn’t What the Constitution Says

The Constitution says no one is above the law. Not in those exact words, but in its entire structure.

Article III says judges hold office “during good behavior.” Article I establishes impeachment for “high crimes and misdemeanors.” The Framers designed checks and balances specifically to prevent any person from becoming untouchable.

For 235 years, that’s how it worked. Presidents could be impeached. They could be prosecuted after leaving office. They could face consequences.

Until this Court decided otherwise.

Former federal judge J. Michael Luttig stated: “There is no support whatsoever in the Constitution or even in the Supreme Court’s precedents, for the past 200 years, for this reprehensible decision”.

President Biden warned that the ruling means “there are virtually no limits on what a president can do” since “limits will be self-imposed by the president alone”.

They didn’t interpret the Constitution. They invented a new one.

The Corruption Is Visible

Justice Clarence Thomas has received millions in undisclosed gifts from billionaires with business before the Court. Luxury vacations. Private jet flights. Real estate deals. For decades.

Justice Samuel Alito flew flags associated with January 6 insurrectionists at his homes. Accepted gifts from wealthy donors. Refused to recuse from cases where he had clear conflicts of interest.

These aren’t allegations. These are documented facts.

And when the House introduced articles of impeachment against them, nothing happened. Because they’re protected. By lifetime appointments. By a Senate that won’t convict. By a system that treats Supreme Court justices as untouchable.

The same Court that granted Trump immunity is itself corrupt. The same justices who placed one man above the law are themselves above accountability.

The Constitutional Crisis

Separation of powers is dead.

The Supreme Court—the judicial branch—just made the executive branch unaccountable to law. They eliminated the check on presidential power that the Framers considered essential.

The ACLU warned: “The opinion sits like a loaded weapon for Trump to abuse in the pursuit of criminal ends if he is reelected”.

They were right. Trump is president again. With immunity. With a Supreme Court that will protect him. With no accountability.

The Court didn’t save democracy. They dismantled it.

You Can Remove Them

Here’s what they don’t tell you: Supreme Court justices can be impeached and removed.

The Constitution is clear. The House needs only a simple majority to impeach. The Senate requires a two-thirds majority to convict and remove.

It’s happened before. Justice Samuel Chase was impeached in 1805, though he was acquitted by the Senate. Fifteen federal judges have been impeached since 1803. Eight were convicted and removed.

Lifetime appointments don’t mean immunity from consequences. They mean you serve until you violate your oath or commit high crimes and misdemeanors.

Accepting millions in undisclosed gifts? That’s a crime for every other federal official.

Refusing to recuse when you have conflicts of interest? That violates judicial ethics.

Inventing constitutional principles to protect one person from prosecution? That’s not judging. That’s corruption.

What Happens Next

This doesn’t end on its own. Corruption doesn’t reform itself. Power doesn’t check itself.

The Court that granted Trump immunity will keep expanding presidential power as long as Trump is president. They’ll keep dismantling rights. They’ll keep protecting the powerful.

Unless we stop them.

Impeachment starts in the House. A single representative can introduce articles of impeachment. Simple majority to pass. It’s been done. AOC already introduced articles against Thomas and Alito in July 2024.

Conviction requires the Senate. Two-thirds vote. 67 senators. That’s the hard part. But it’s not impossible if enough people demand it.

The campaign starts now. Make Supreme Court corruption an issue in every election. Demand candidates commit to impeachment. Make it politically suicidal to protect corrupt justices.

Term limits require legislation. Congress can limit Supreme Court terms. They’ve changed the number of justices before—from six to ten and back to nine. They can do it again.

Court expansion is constitutional. Add four justices. Dilute the corrupt majority. Restore balance. It’s been done before. It can be done again.

Rally Cry

The Supreme Court placed the president above the Constitution. They made him king.

That’s not America. That’s monarchy. And we fought a revolution to end that.

They tell you lifetime appointments make them untouchable. They’re lying. The Constitution gives Congress the power to remove corrupt judges. We just have to use it.

They tell you this is just politics. It’s not. This is about whether anyone—president or justice—is above the law.

The Founders gave us the tools. Impeachment. Removal. Reform. Expansion.

We just have to be brave enough to use them.

The Court is corrupt. The president is immune. Democracy is dying.

Unless we act. Now. Together.

Make them remember: this is America.
