One day after Bayer proposed a $7.25 billion settlement for 60,000+ Americans suing them for Roundup causing cancer, Trump invoked the Defense Production Act to declare glyphosate production “critical to national security.”

Here’s what that means:

Trump gave Bayer—a German company—legal immunity from cancer lawsuits while forcing increased production of the weedkiller that’s killing Americans.

The executive order grants liability protection under the Defense Production Act. Translation: Bayer can’t be sued for complying with Trump’s order to make more Roundup.

The Supreme Court hears Bayer’s liability case in April. This order is a transparent attempt to influence the Court to grant immunity while Americans who got cancer wait for justice.

RFK Jr.—who won $290 million suing Monsanto for causing cancer with Roundup—just endorsed this order. The man who built his career fighting glyphosate now says it’s “essential to national security.”

MAHA voters who elected Trump to “make America healthy” just watched him bail out the company poisoning them.

Bayer is the only U.S. producer of glyphosate and white phosphate. They threatened to stop production unless given a liability shield. Trump gave it to them.
